First thank you for all the welcomes, it meant a lot. I relieved to know I'm not the only one. I did find some research done by a Dr Eli Somer from Haifa, he seems to be the only that has done a study on this. I fit most of the classic symptoms except for the pacing, rocking etc. I have lost hours/days daydreaming & not doing what must be done until the last minute. If I add wine/beer to the mix it get can go on for several days, I don't go outside or anything. It's come & gone at different times in my life and I know its a probably just another form of depression. At least i think it is. I'm learning from Dr. Somer to recognize my triggers. Just so glad PC is here, cuz I feel like an idiot sharing it with what family I do have left or co-workers.

This raises the question how much of my slow-motion depressed living might be characterized by "maladaptive daydreaming." It's something to investigate. Thank you, Nashoba88!
