My mum is taking care of my sister. My mum needs an operation in the next few days. My mum has been life long carer to two schizophrenic daugthers now this.

My sister is delusional and depressed for at least 7 weeks
she's had depression before but is now non compliant with ad's
the delusions are about persecution, hypnosis. abuse by my dad and his friend (she has been seriously abused in her life) (my dad was also abusive) but this confabulation is about ritual shaving her entire body and head. She had long hair at that time in her life (before age 3) as well as elaborate past life delusions.

My mum thinks she won't need meds and has no faith in the services.

I have been gp and have registerd her and requested a forward to the mental health team at my mum's where she is living again she's 35 and has lived independently for 20 yrs

She is alcoholic and has twisted the words of the rehab and the psychiatrist there that she is not crazy and is not alcoholic either. I don't know what they said to her but she is experiencing psychosis for 7 weeks and drinks alcoholically (200 unit weeks?)

she showed no lucid time during a 2 week detox and drank on leaving.

should she go to a psych ward?
although she is suicidal she has not dicussed plans directly but is thinking of suicide daily.

she does not seem to come under their remit of danger of self or others although she is driving drunk and psychotic and in the throws of major depression.

Please advice is so needed.
