I know it sounds silly but for me it is a small victory. I have been wanting to do this for ages but could never get the motivation. Yesterday I finally had the irresitable urge to do it. My hair is now a beautiful completely unatural shade of red and I love it. For the first time in a long time I was happy. It didn't last all day but it gave me hope.
Thanks for letting me share |

Sometimes we just have to enjoy the small things. I'm sure it looks great and know it will give you a great sense of joy everytime you look in the mirror. Congratulations on getting it done.

It's a huge thing. Really huge. Congratulations. You got a little "vacation" from the depression and got to experience a small recharge of your batteries. Depression can feel as if it's endless, but when/if you get a day like this, it reminds you of what real life is like. Much needed IMO. And red is awesome. I used to belong to the Revlon Color of the Month club

I'm really glad that i'm not the only person who gets totally psyched when i dye my hair. i used to be a cutter and i found that dying my hair was much more social acceptable and so much cuter. i love that feeling of looking in the mirror and seeing a completely different person. they say that blondes have more fun but i think that red heads and ppl with purple hair have the most fun. congrats on your new hair style. it's exciting and you should be happy about it.
