I know that might sound dumb. but I've already been diagnosed with general depression but that was made a long time ago and i really am starting to feel that something is wrong. I've been very depressed for about 9 or so months and until recently it's been extreme and i've also noticed i've felt very disconnected from everything even my family and friends. I've been wondering for a long time if i might have a kind of major depression. my Grandma had Bipolar. Is it posible that i may have it too or some kind of form of it?

Can't really diagnose. It's possible. I think you should see a doctor for a diagnosis.

I would really suggest seeing a doctor as well. Feeling disconnected is very common in depression but yes I'm pretty sure in the fancy guide they use if your depression has lasted long enough (along with a few other symptoms) that'll be enough to boost it into a major depressive episode. But I can't diagnose so please check with a doctor

Best wishes!
