I love you guys. You're caring and supportive, you always have the right things to say, and you make people feel better, you tell them they're not alone, offer them strength. You've made me feel better too, the posters here are always at hand to comfort and help, I think it's amazing.

I want to be more like you guys, but I hesitate when it comes to posting in someone else's thread, because 1) I have problems myself, and 2) I'm afraid I might say the wrong thing, I'm afraid I might make someone feel worse with my reply (Even though my intentions are to help), so I'm scared and usually hold back from posting.

I want to make people feel better too, I want to give support, but I guess I have a lot to learn, still. or maybe it's something I'll never be able to do.

(I hope I'm allowed to post something like this)

You can't go wrong in sharing your own experience. Some people specifically ask for advice. Some people don't. If they don't ask for advice maybe that is not what they are looking for.

But if they share something you relate to and have experienced or maybe have overcome then just share your own story. You can never go wrong in sharing your own story and you have no idea how it might help someone.

It sounds like you are pretty kind already so I am sure you have nothing to worry about.

If it really worries you, try thinking about what is the first thing you would want to hear and start from there.

I come here because I need to know that I am not alone and crazy. Something as simple as someone saying I am dealing with this as well or even just, that sounds like it is tough, are a huge help to me.
Thanks for this!

I think I'm strange, I start a thread, spill my guts out because I want replies, but I go off PC, and then I hesitate in checking back for the replies, because... I don't know... I take my time in gathering enough courage to read the replies I get.

That's ok. Everyone processes information differently and everyones depression affects them differently. Being strange is probably the most normal thing there is.

I think that is one of the best aspects of an online group. You can always comeback when you need support.
Thanks for this!

really?

I also don't like disagreeing with someone here on PC, and sometimes I write huge posts, only to CTRL+A -> Del before I post them, out of fear.

See, you're learning already! Just saying these kind words made my day already! I only hope I was one of the ones who may have helped you in some way. Don't be afraid to say what you want to. You're just as important as anyone else here & deserve to be heard too! You

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
