I'm tired of it.

Scared to get better but scared to stay the same.

I understand.

I'm stuck in such a rut. Things have to change, but I am afraid or too lazy to change them.

Hang in there

It's exhausting to be frightened of staying in the same place and yet we find change just as frightening.

I understand being scared of staying the same, but can you explain your fear in getting better? Wouldn't that be a positive? I would love to feel better.

Depression has become all I know about myself. Well, not completely, but it feels like it. I don't understand why I'm afraid of getting better. Of course I want to, but another part of me doesn't. I expect depression, I know it's there, I know it'll still be there tomorrow. Am I making sense?
