For the longest time I've always just wanted to be a personal assistant/sidekick for someone who is too busy to manage their own schedule. I could plan everything, organize, hire people, deal with daily issues, and just help someone out without really having to worry about myself. I guess that's where the thought obviously stems from. Not wanting to deal with my own issues. But man in theory it just looks so appealing. I'm sure being a PA is really tough but from far away I would have to say that it would be my dream job at the moment.
Sometimes I wonder if I would have been better off becoming a maid for a fancy family. Take care of people and have my identity locked into them without having to think about myself. If I could live for someone else, for their sake, maybe I could actually accomplish something because apparently I can't accomplish anything for myself :/ Anyway, this all stems from the fact that I feel like I'm ramming myself against this wall and I can't get past it even though it's getting bigger and bigger and cutting off my future. I keep trying but boy is it utterly frustrating and demotivating to let yourself down over and over again. Someone come over and scrape me off the floor haha. |

Why couldn't you be a personal assistant. Sounds like you would enjoy it and be good at it. How about when you are organizing / doing things for yourself pretend you are at ypir personal assistant job and be planning how you could do that job if it's something you would really enjoy. I like helping people like my friends organize and clean their house but hate doing mine so I have to pretend I'm doing it for someone else.

I always wanted to be a personal shopper. So yeah I understand the attraction.

UM is very funny. I love his sense of humor or hers. How in the hell do you tell who is male and who is female around here? Is it in the profiles? And yes UM I know about human anatomy.
Keep Rolling (now I am assuming you are male) I think you should apply to the best looking richest chicks in Hollywood. Maybe Kim Kardashian is sick of her Mom and needs a PA.

Sure! I was the assistant director of an organization some years ago, which basically meant I was the personal assistant to the director. I loved the job.

I'd like to be a companion, in books by authors like Agatha Christie there's always someone who is "genteel" but "pennyless", they have a "job" as a live in companion. Awesome, somebody else puts a roof over your head, feeds you, clothes you and even pays you just for your company. I wonder if companions ever exisited outside the world of middle-class fiction? Failing being a companion, I'd like to be a theatrical props buyer, rumaging around junk shops with someone else's money to spend.
