How do you deal with triggers? Please help. any suggestions welcome.

I try to think of how my little self felt during it. It's usually connected to a childhood trauma and if I talk to my little person, I can usually talk her down from it. It does, however, effect the rest of my day. That feeling in the pit of my stomach stays.

Triggers? I guess I deal with them by repeating, sometimes what feels like a million times, "like all other things, this too shall pass" ...

Personally, I struggle if they hit me from the left field... can be plummeting quickly down the rabbit hole well before the notions of 'you should do this, this and this' come to mind... and by then I'm too messed up to do anything but just ride it out

My first problem is identifying triggers. I still don't know what mine are. I have very bad coping skills so I too would love to hear how people identify and handle their triggers.

When triggered, my activities STOP.
A triggering event or memory may completely overwhelm my self-control. In that case, a situation I call an "episode," I'm just swept away and can't deal with anything. If I have any self-control, I treat it as if my mind were declaring an emergency. My mind will take care of it, but my mind cannot be divided and has almost no spare resources to devote to anything else. In that case I may
