I have posted several times @ suicide attempt in April and "voluntary" psych hospitalization. Back to work and sad but doing my job. I manage 15 employees. I was honest with my boss @ depression but didn't divulge hospitalization. Work stress is one of my reasons for getting in this position. Today my administrative assistant told my boss that she saw a fax @ my hospitalization at a psych hospital and shared with staff. Not sure how that happened - probably a fax confirmation re: FMLA and snooping. My boss is supportive but how to handle assistant? Furious right now but want to do the right thing- help....

I'm not quite sure what to tell you to do with the assistant. But I will tell you this: what she did was wrong, evil, unethical. You don't need the whole office knowing all your personal business like that. You have grounds to be very angry. I commend you for taking care of yourself and being able to get back to a very busy job with high responsibility. Work stress is probably the main reason for my depression as well. I work 11 to 12 hrs a day and can't keep up with my workload. Wish you the best.

Thanks- that's what I think. She has a lot of issues too but not a reason to do this.
