I have been dealing with fatigue for a while now that has worsened over the last month. I have done blood tests, sleep studies, and seen 2 different doctors with no results other then having an elevated SED rate and elevated C-reactive protein. Both tests for inflammation in the body. Both doctors said that it wasn't enough to warrant my fatigue. I was diagnosed with depression about 2 years ago but have since had my symptoms under control. My previous primary suggested seeing a rheumatologist, but I wanted to get another opinion first. The second doctor has put me on a regimen of vitamins and told me to give it 2 months and then come back to see her.
I don't have 2 months to wait. I can barely stand it now. I don't know what else to do. I'm 27 years old but I feel like I'm 50. I'm physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted and can't find a solution.

I just needed to vent...

Sounds like your depression may possibly resurfaced. I know mine causes me severe fatigue.

I agree with gayleggg ... depression is physically exhausting, and I think that is so because when I'm depressed, I spend so much mental energy trying to find ways not to be depressed that I end up getting angry because I can't think my way out of this, then I get even more depressed, and so on...the visual image that I have in my head is that it is like punching myself in the stomach repeatedly...

Hi shamon86, I've had bouts of immense fatigue when not depressed. It was so bad that my doctor prescribed Provigil for me, to give me some energy. It always has just eventually gone away though. I hope it never returns. I feel for you and hope you get some energy soon!

I scheduled an appointment with a rhumetologist. Do you think it would be better to just wait?

A rheumatologist is a great idea as your SED rate and elevated c-reactive protein need to be evaluated.
