When I first started taking trazodone, I would get dizzy but I think it was because I didn't eat well. I've been eating well lately and I haven't felt dizzy after taking it until now. I didn't eat much today. I ate/drank yogurt in the a.m., 2 tacos for lunch, a fruit salad and a Starbucks. Do you guys think its because of that or should I stop taking it and tell my doctor?

It's possible the picture may involve complexities beyond food and the trazodone. The standard advice in such situations is to keep taking the set doses of the drug but immediately call/inform your prescribing doctor of what you are experiencing.

It's been a long time since I took trazadone, but I vividly remember the dizziness. Definitely tell your dr. But it's just what it does. I think I learned to take it right before bed. I mean directly, even sitting in front of the tv after taking it was out of the question. I recall crawling to my bed on hands and knees I was so dizzy. Take care and I hope you feel better.

If you haven't taken trazadone every night and then just took it last night, then the dizziness is just a side effect of it.

I take it every night. I've just noticed that when I don't eat enough I get really dizzy but I'm not really sure if that's the reason.

With most meds the dizziness factor wears off after a time. But don't stop on your own, call the doctor and tell him what you said here.

I quit taking it because of getting dizzy. I took it right before bed time and then I woke up in the middle of the night and I had to crawl back to bed and fell a few times. Never again will I take that stuff. But everyone is different.

I only feel dizzy before I fall asleep. I also wake up in the middle of the night. I don't get a full night sleep. It does make me very sleepy but I want to get the 8hrs of sleep.

I just had my tradazone increased and not only does it make me dizzy, I cannot think. As in, I will in a meeting and just not know the answer. I want off and plan to go back down despite my pdoc's protests.

By the way, I am trying to switch my pdoc because I think she knows jack.
