I want to cry. I want the stone wall to give way to the water pressure building up against it. To release, to rinse to get it out of the system. I want to cry yet I can't. It doesn't come, I don't know how to cry.

I know how you feel. Sometimes it is a relief just to cry. Sometimes you feel the need to cry and can't

I'm sorry you're feeling this way, I can relate I've found that I can't cry on my own, but that I can when I have someone supportive with me.

When I was at the worst of my depression, I wasn't eating much, and was probably dehydrated. Though I wanted to cry, I don't think that my body even had the right amount of fluids to make crying even possible. I hope that your today is better than last night...

Idiot17, I know how you feel. I'm in a severe depression but haven't cried for many months. I really wish I could cry because it seems it would be such a good release at least it would seem appropriate for my level of depression.

I hope you can have a good cry soon!

Hello, Idiot17. What you are doing is not working? What changes do you think need to be made to get you to a better place. Do you think a referral for a mental health evaluation would be advisable?

It is weird for me. When I am in a deep depression I cannot cry. I have no desire too, I am just numb. Now that I am feeling better I get all weepy over the littlest emotional things. I have to fight back the tears in public.

There have been times where I have went for years without shedding a single tear, not even close.

I have had periods where I can't cry, but sometimes I cry bitterly but it brings no relief. When I can cry I am often totally unaware that I am crying, the looks I get from people aren't sympathetic

I haven't cried in a while now, yet I still feel depressed. I want to let the sadness all out, but I just can't do it. When I was first depressed, I cried over everything. But now I just feel numb, which some people may consider worse.
