The negative moments are represented by space in it's infinite depth and chilled blackness. Dwelling on this abyss often surfaces unpleasant feelings. The positive moments are represented by the stars within that space. Their warm shimmering glow bringing joy and enlightenment. These scattered joys may seem insignificant in comparison to the vast space surrounding them but each one shines strong and vivid. The perception of this space in all its entirety affects the psych. See how those precious glowing moments amongst the darkness illuminates all space. No matter how vast and consuming the space around those stars, their halo seems to lighten the dark. With this focus on positivity life is beautiful. I would think this is the ideal perspective. Personally i unconsciously vi things differently. Notice all of the darkness instead and the stars seem to fade into nothing... their light snuffed out by the power of the night. At these times, staring into what seems like an infinite black abyss, life takes on a fearsome image. There is no light... There seems to be no end. Pain, fear, and grief consume all while trying to make sense of this black nothing. Lost and alone in the the darkness not knowing how to escape... This is where I feel my mind is lost... in this darkness trying to break free and see the light again.

Without darkness there can be no light.

Without suffering there can be no joy.

We must learn to embrace both.

Hello jewelz105, despite your pain you write beautifully. I know you are suffering right now but please hang in there, the light will shine for you! Please keep sharing with us, it helps to talk.

I've oft taken the belief that when one feels great suffering, it will in time find balance in great joy.

I've accepted my dark moments with that belief. So far, truth in it.
