Hi skittles,
I'm not sure if I kno exactly how u feel, but i kno sometimes wen i'm out with friends or whoever i can have a good time, yet still kno i'm feeling depressed - even feel suicidal at the same time. I can't offer u any advice, because there's nothing i can do about the feeling myself - but i hope it helps to kno that other people feel something similar. __________________ "All paths lead to the same goal: to convey to others what we are." - Pablo Neruda "Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night." - Margo Channing |

Hi Skittles,
Yes, it is fairly normal to feel OK but depressed to. I think it is the depression trying to sneak back in. I know I have to fight it all the time. This could also be your situation. Good luck to you in fighting it. Hugs, Linda __________________ What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. |

Yep, I know what you mean. Right now, actually, I know it too. I've been trying to figure out why exactly and the only thing I've come up with is that feeling good or even ok isn't normal for me. And when I do, I don't know what to do with that. That alone tries to suck me back down and I feel bad about not knowing how to be ok. Does that make any sense? Feeling down is the known for me, not comfortable by any means but it's the only word I know, I fight being down all the time, being ok just feels wierd.

Story of my life ... i know what you mean. Its almost as though no matter how "okay" you are there is always this lingering feeling of depression hiding behind everything. Only thing you can really do is try and keep your mind pre-occupied with what you're doing, and try not to so much focus on that "thing" following you around ....
Hope you feel better.. Jacq __________________ The unexamined life is not worth living. -Socrates |

When I was in aftercare from a treatment centre, I remember talking to my counsellor there and said I feel kinda strange. I feel ok, but just quite and maybe a little sad but its as if its ok also to feel this way. He replied "so your just being yourself". This wasn't said in a sarcastic tone, he really was saying how it was.
I think I'd spent so many yrs trying to chase "happiness" or some other "illusion" that I hadn't really just experienced "life". Not a high nor a low, just somewhere inbetween, just ok. |
