It was one year ago that I had a major surgery that was difficult to recover from. I have experienced depression for about a year now. At its best depression is like being in a black hole. I have missed so much out of life. I am now a shell of the person I used to be. I have trouble focusing and concentrating. I feel like I have lost my very soul. I don't even have the energy and focus to do things I used to enjoy.

Yeah ,depression is absolutely like being in a very black hole with no light and no way to scape.
Every one of us have to make our stairs to go out this hole. I wish you find the way do it.
