I have told a couple of people including my counselor that I am depressed. It went to a very bad point. My response from people is nothing or you can handle it. Why do I even tell them? It's useless.

I feel the same way. Welcome to reality, people don't care about other people's problems.
Thanks for this!

Doesn't the fact that this website and message board exist refute that claim? There are people that care.

Has the OP seen a therapist? A psychiatrist? Who is this "counselor?"

In my experience there are people who understand and care. You have to take some risks as you did and be able to put up with some stupid comments and people who want to give you a one answer fix, but people who understand and care are out there. I have found many over the course of my life long depression.
