My friend's dad is an asshole (pardon my French.) Well anyways I was over at my friends house and we were hanging out then my mom told me to come home and ya know, like any other teen would ask if they could sleep over. Well my friend asked me parents and they basically said no. But her dad. Dear God, her dad asked me if I was going to summer school and I said yes. (My friend is also in summer school) and basically her dad said that he didn't want his daughter to hang out with people that can't do **** right so as I left I started crying... I really don't know what to do because right now I'm so depressed that all I can think about is suicide. Well also what I should have said to her dad but mostly suicide. Someone please help me!

Like any good parent I've tried to use humiliation to make my kids feel bad. Why? Because my parents used it on me & it worked...to the point that I'm in my 40's & have serious self esteem issues.
You're better than that! Summer school is not the end of your life & you should t be made to feel like that. I'm sorry that happened to you. Most parents parent according to the style they were brought up in. For me that meant abuse. I always said I'd never do that to my kids. But I know I'm not perfect & I fall back on that style. It hurts my kids & makes me feel terrible. You have to take into consideration that this style of parenting might be the same they grew up w/. It's not an excuse, it's what people are taught as kids. Now you know that if you ever have kids & their in summer school they deserve just as much love & attention. We all make mistakes, esp parents. Rise above this. You're better than that. Keep your chin up bec you know you're a good person! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
