I have a bunch of problems including depression but I feel like I can't talk about it without scaring friends off or weirding them out.

unfortunately, I think you are right about that from my experience. I have scared a lot of people off. the good friends understand. you just have to use good judgement about who you talk to. that's why this place is good. you can say anything and be supported. take care.

Hi mankyer, well here you're going to find a lot of understanding, non-judgmental, supportive people if you want to let us know a bit more about what's going on for you.
As for some of your friends though, if they're real friends they should stick by you/be there for you. And you may even find that some of them have had similar feelings to you but just feel uncomfortable in talking about them, just the same as you. Sometimes it can be about finding/choosing the right person/people to start to opening up to, and some people can be more supportive than you'd think. But if you want to start off here..........we're here for you. Welcome to PC!!!!! Alison |

I have only one close friend that understands what I'm going through. I don't talk about my depression to outsiders. My husband knows and is very supportive, but other people would never understand. Do you have family you can talk to? |
