Dale Archer, M.D., in this article, New Treatments May Deliver Immediate Relief For Depression | Psychology Today, talks about Low Field Magnetic Stimulation (LFMS) and Ketamine.

Dr. Archer states: "Two new treatments for depression have the potential to not only work quickly but also to redefine our thinking as to the cause of depression with respect to brain chemical and electrical activity."

Archer concludes more research needs to be done before the efficacy of these treatments can be confirmed.

Fast acting, fewer side effects and perhaps a better understanding of the cause of depression are all good. We shall have to wait and see if the treatments are worthy additions to dealing with depression.

Yup. Have read that article and others like it. Problem is when will there be access to treatments. What about insurance. blah blah blah.

I am giving up I think.

But thanks for sharing, of course. You are a rock here on the forum.

I had six weeks of TMS and it didn't help. Ketamine is actually being used clinically already
