for the past few years i've been haunted by images of my mom dying and me being left with my dad and sister. Ever since my birthday 2 years ago when she had to go to the hospital. she's better now but she has diabetes and she looks so sick and tried.i'm so afraid of losing her. Looking at her makes me cry. Her mom died when she was a teenager and i don't want that to happen to me.i can't stand my dad he's never home much and my sister is at college, i don't want to ever leave her alone. i check on her every night and morning because i'm afraid. what should i do?

Hi pieces
My mom has passed on. I would suggest telling your mom your fears and maybe finding a support group in your area. And talk to your close friends so that you have others to confide in. Take Care __________________ Please donate to your local animal humane shelter! Thank-you! |

That kind of fear must be terrible for you. I agree with Pilatus, talking to your mom now is so very important. Whether your mom goes in the next few years or lives to a ripe old age, having the memories of how close you two can be and what you talked about now, will be something you will cherish your whole life. I lost my mom when I was 25. I'm 51 now and I still miss her. But I do love the memories of our times together. It helps to heal my heart to think of them. I hope you can both be there for each other. And maybe she'll be able to help you not be so fearful. Good luck dear! Hugssssssss |

Hang in there, try to focus on things that brighten your day as well as hers. Try to spend as much time as you can to be happy with her and not worry so much! I hope that you find peace soon!!

um..well i can't go to my schools counselor because she tells the teachers at my school and i don't think i'd like my problem all over the school and the country im in doesn't have someone trained to deal with stuff like that. I can't tell my friend's because i help them with their problems. thats why i try to seek counselors online but no luck.

Pieces....
I am sorry for your fear...... I really do think that talking to your mom about your feelings will help, as for your friends, you are allowed to ask for support from them, especially if you are giving them the support they need. I have lost many dear people in my life, not my mom, but all of my grandparents, especially my grandad, who I was extremely close with (closer than my parents.) I lost him to a stroke..... I struggled for a very long time to get "back on top" of things, but the one thing I have learnt, is that even when the ones we love pass, they never truly leave, as long as we remember them. I know this doesn't help with your fears of your mom passing, I just hope it will make you less fearful. Flinty |
