High School for me was literal hell. I almost dropped out in May but ended up basically dragging my beat up self to graduation.

With all my heart I want college to be different. Freshman year of High school I spent second semester in a psych hospital. That freshman year WILL NOT be like this one. I'm determined.
But November is the time when things generally start to fall apart for me.

After my best friend stabbed me in the back senior year I've been reluctant to make friends that are girls. All my friends have been guys so far...but due to past events, I kind of have issues with guys when they get too close to me physically or emotionally.

I'm ok. I can get through this. I've been through so much worse.

I just need friends whose hands aren't decorated knives. And a little more confidence. And.....maybe a hug.

I can relate. High school was awful for me as well. I am a freshman in college now. I was pretty excited to start college because I thought it was going to be waaaaay better than high school. I think I kind of got my hopes up too much because I don't have any friends yet and I feel like I don't fit in. I don't make friends very easily and it's hard for me to actually maintain and find meaningful relationships with people.
I hope you are able to make some true friends

I can relate, but mainly because I've seen the trailer for "Mean Girls."

Does anyone out there work in a high school? I think it would possibly be a life-changing experience for people to be just filmed in their ordinary lives and then shown the film. I think that a lot of people have no idea how they appear to others.

High school was hellish for me as well. I wish I can go to college already but so far I don't think I'd be able to give the classes my concentration. So way to go for doing what you want and making an effort. Lots of luck.

((((((Stronger))))))) well done you for graduating high school. Settling in to college is hard for many students irrespective of personal circumstances. It is a time of big changes and that can feel very daunting. Try to remember that many other students will be feeling as nervous as you are, I'm sure that you will find a friendship group given time.
Thanks for this!
