So I finally told a friend about my depression. She seemed really concerned about me and even offered to take me to therapy. But it all seemed to be in the heat of the moment because we never talked about it again. We met today and she didn't even mention anything I said to her. I don't want to push though, I know she has her own problems. But I was really counting on it. I want to go to therapy but I don't think I can muster the strength to do it on my own. Or can I? I just don't know anymore. Did any of you seek help by yourselves or did you have someone to get through it with?

Most people around me had no idea. You can start with a phone call to the warm lines or crisis lines in your area and ask what what help is available in your area.

I'm in the same boat, I'm trying to gather the courage to start seeing a t.
You just have to find the courage but you should be able to do it! I know easier said then done.
Gluck.

There's no such thing where I live. My friend suggested me the therapist in her college, which is free. But I don't know. I know myself well enough to know that I'll probably end up not going anywhere.
