Hey there!
I would like to say exactly what i suffer from, and the ways which i hope to overcome it. (this is in no way a manual, as I understand this affliction does not come in black and white. I am in a positive mood and I hope that it may help to bring others into it as well.) this is my affliction: I know how the black cloud can consume. You may feel brilliant and confident one second, then remember how badly you want a drink or a smoke of something sweet the moment next. The next thing you know, there is a fog around you that makes you droop. Friends and loved ones will suggest a movie or tv show or activity that you love, and you will shrug it away and sit in the cloud, as it offers a strange, comforting feeling (I know, weird right?) of pain and suffering. This cloud feeds off of guilt. well, mine anyway. I understand everyone's depression is different, yet this is mine. It has been a very long time since i have been apart of a forum, and when i was, I was happy and i felt i belonged. I want to be a part of that again. Gaming makes me happy, and so I must game! movies are a big force in my life as well. NEVER feel guilty for sitting down and vegging out to tv, movies or games because in every one of those, there is a life lesson learned. If it can help bring you out of the pain and keep you level headed without hurting yourself, then I am all for it... Im sorry. Im getting ahead of myself. I am Jody, and i am a recovering binge drinking, weed smoking, abusive relationshiped (in the past, i have a lovely one now) self hating, depressive human. I have the right to feel happy, as do all of you. It is never an easy fix, and it never will be. But if we support one another and learn tricks and methods to improve our output and outlook, we stand a chance. I have only just joined, but i already love every one of you. I hope to become a regular chatter. ![]() |

The word "recovering" is a huge word in many people's lives. I am very proud of you for being able to use it. We are happy to have you here and I look forward to seeing you around the forums.
