I feel like I will not be strong enough to handle what life throws at me in the future. I am already emotionally hanging by a thread, even though I have a good life. Not sure what to do from here, all I know is I don't want to feel this way anymore.

Some mornings I just don't feel up to it all so I can relate. But you really don't have to handle what life might throw at you in the future because all you can actually handle is today. Breaking life down into smaller portions and letting go of the past helps me. Oh, and gratitude for the good I have also helps. I tend to forget that part!

One day at a time ...

Try to live one day at a time. When you start to look at the future it can feel too overwhelming to handle. Sometimes you have to just get thru one hour at a time. Hang in there.

Sometimes tossing the 'even though' , out of the way of viewing depression, can be a baby step. It's a 'should' type of expression.
For instance, I read, 'I have a good life, I shouldn't have depression. '

It is a very real illness.
