So... When I see them, I have a really strong urge to jump off. I can't, because all these times their have been people around me.

When I look down, I just feel really happy,& get this "high"(don't know how else to describe this.)

Are you in therapy or on any meds? If not then I think you might need to consider doing that. Tell someone how you are feeling and they can help you get the help you need with this problem.

Fox, I have the same problem every time I'm around either one I wish I can just do it. Living in a city and being surrounded by them doesn't help. And there are always people milling about so yea.

I guess it's a good thing we're surrounded by people.

(((((Fox))))) Stay safe.

Aawh, I feel so much for you. I have experienced a similar high myself when I had a slip-and-fall accident and fell a distance down a mountain once. I thought I was going to die and I had the high, happy feeling you describe too.

Stay safe, and know that it's a trick to try and get you to do something to yourself. The feeling is falsely generated by the depressed mind. Many hugs

Then stay around people. even when it's uncomfortable, but it's your safety that maters more.

Prob is anxiety makes you avoid being around others and depression is isolating too.

Bridges around me are high traffic areas. Not a single desire have i had to do that.
Sounds like you've a ton of alone time.

To add, it's actually a comic joke around here. We say, don't jump into that river, because it is so polluted and you're bound to catch an ailment you might not want.

Jump sites have been one of my problems. However for the ones I have considered there are always a lot of difficulties. It is a very public way to do it and you can traumatise other people. It can be very gruesome and wouldn't be fair on whoever had to witness it. If it's busy (my sites often are) you don't want to land on someone. If I had to spend much time waiting for the area to be clear I would lose my nerve, as it is so high it makes me feel sick. I could go on. Lots of things against it versus you only have to get over the edge.

Think of all the problems till the feeling passes.
