All I have the energy to do is sink deeper into it. Where do you find the energy to get out?
I'm showing up at work and warming the chair, basically. I can rouse myself to do something if asked, and if it's needed in a hurry, but otherwise, I just sit here and stare off into space and think about how crappy I feel, which of course makes me feel worse. I spaced off so bad yesterday I completely forgot something I was scheduled to be at for work. Luckily it was easily remedied. I'd ask for a rousing cheer of "DEPRESSION SUCKS!" but I can't muster that much energy. Candy |

Effing depression pit!!!! Remember, a pit always has an opening at the top, so you can still breathe and the sky can see you........

I agree with you. What I feel ashamed about is this: my depression now is much less than it was a few years ago, but I'm complaining just as much about it. Back then, I had no relief for 2 & 1/2 years, and now I get a break part of the time. So what am I complaining about? I don't get it. I had to work a lot harder (cognitive behavioral therapy skills) to keep myself alive back then and I don't have to work as hard now. I'm still depressed, but it's not constant. Thinking about you! |
