An all knowing someone said about me
When I was 21
"fuzzy is such a child..."

And, I guess "they" were right.

This was someone from University. And my unvoiced thoughts now are something along the lines of it takes one to know one. Why oh why didn't I have the "presence of mind so many years ago to put some of those who wanted to put others down in their place

I guess the answer is in the programming of the abusers (from before I remember..)

"I learned the truth at 17
That love was meant for beauty queens"

But fuzzy bear was never ugly

And I don't think fuzzy bear has long for this world

I sure hope not.

I could name the person, he had spots...
And his male friend was seriously "physically impaired" but as far as I know was a nice person. Sad.

This world is so sad.

Fuzzy!!! I've got to respectfully disagree with "And, I guess "they" were right"
I guess........"they" were ignorant, arrogant, patronizing NOT "right".
And of course it would have been hard for you to put others in their place with the abuse you suffered
There were probably even plenty of times you didn't even realise that other people needed to be put in their place. It was not your fault, abuse can leave you feeling so powerless, lacking control, worthless, afraid of confrontation, self doubting..............all that and more......so "presence of mind" doesn't even come into it.
But you've sure turned things around now!!!
You're speaking out about the bullies and abusers out there!!! You're speaking out about how wrong it is!!! And for everyone you're helping (however much/in whatever way!!) by speaking out that's taking just a bit of that power off the abusers and bullies out there. You're probably making a lot more of a difference than you think!!!
And.........."I learned the truth at 17 that love was meant for beauty queens" we know that's so superficial now, right??
And there are so many more important things and qualities that matter/to be loved so much more............like YOU Fuzzy!!!

Fuzzy, you are beautiful, your heart is kind and tender, you are not corrupted by your experiences and you are brave enough to let your PC friends love you. You are the real deal, beauty queens are fake. ((((((Fuzzy))))))

Hi Fuzzy,
Also, you did not have the presence of mind to respond to the ofense because you were a young woman. Now, we are older and can be more assertive.
To me, " being like a child" is the best thing one can be.
Sorry to be rude but that someone is an idiot
And...
ahh nice

I agree the early abusive programming had a lot to do with it. Perhaps your own innate gentleness and concern for others played a part, too.
