does anyone else get severe depression on sundays?

i'm not talking because you have work or school the next day (i don't have that), but are their people who just feel really bad on sundays for no apparent reason

think for me it's knowing that their's a new week starting and nothing at all has changed or improved

anyone relate

Sunday is generally not my best day. I am semi-retired now so it isn't the work thing either but my mind may be 'stuck' in that rut. I also think I see Sunday as a 'family' day and most of my family has either died or moved away so it feels lonely.

I bought a new digital camera and I am going spend some time on Sundays going to parks and taking pictures. That is my New Years gift to me.
Thanks for this!

I have been depressed on Sundays for years and always thought it had to do with having to go to work on Monday and that did have a lot to do with it, but since I quit working in September, I find I still get depressed on Sundays, unless I find something to keep myself busy enough that I don't notice it.

I can't figure out what causes this and I searched in the internet and found that they only refer to it having to do with it being before Monday and having to go back to work or school the next day.

Like I said the only thing I find that helps is to stay busy and plan things for Sunday that help me forget it's Sunday.

Sometimes I feel more depressed on Saturdays or Sundays because I have it in my head that M-F is for work and weekends are for fun, and if I'm not doing something fun I feel like I'm missing out and it's all my fault for feeling worse. For me it's not limited to Sundays.

Sundays do depress me. I realized yesterday that I felt a bit of nausea when I thought of Sunday. Then I remembered that when I was little we used to visit my Grandma every Sunday and there was a long car trip there and back and I used to feel nauseated in the car! Also, my father used to watch football on Sundays, so there was no TV. Funny how those memory imprints last far into life. Nausea and boredom and slight depression.
