After taking time off for the holidays I have realized that my goal of early retirement is pointless. I did not enjoy my time off but I also didn't want to go back to work. I have no hobbies or interests and it made me all think what the hell will I do when I retire. Right now everything is centered around our kids that I don't have time to find a hobby even if I did have the motivation.
So now that the only real dream I had is crashing down I feel myself slipping again. I just don't know what I have to look forward to anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Early retirement was always my ambition but my pension fund keeps changing, 5 years ago I would have been able to retire in 2017, 2 years ago it was 2024 now it is 2027. I don't think I'll ever get to retire at this rate. Even though I don't know exactly what I want to do, I know I need a clean break from my job. So I totally relate.

I have enough saved up for a good retirement, assuming that I die of a massive heart attack no more than one week after I retire

Then I, also, like to edit and decorate pictures, which takes a little more of my time. Anyway, that's how I'm dealing with retirement. I still have a ways to go because I bore easily and I find my husband gets on my nerves with too much togetherness, so I plan things I can do alone.
