Hello, My name is Elin and I suffer from depression.
I am currently following a study that takes all the energy out of my body. I'm in an internship , where I have to walk around 8 hours a day, with a smile on my face. It's getting harder every day. There are many times when I wake up and I be like: please, just let me die right here. I don't wanna go. I'd love to hear your experiences with following a study and depression. X Elin |

Hi Elin,
I think I know where you're coming from. When I was depressed it was stressful to be around almost anybody and it made it much worse if was in a situation where I had to pretend to be feeling fine when I wasn't. ![]() |

It's so tough. i have 6 months left to finish this study that I'm following for the past 3 years but every day gets harder. I have so much to learn and write papers and so.. It's so much, I can't handle it. Also doing my internship 8,5 hours a day. I'm not quite sure how to survive this. If i stop with this study, I have to pay about 12,000 euros and I can never pay that. so i have to finish it

Unfortunately I haven't studied under an internship (yet), but I definitely have a fairly rigorous course load to deal with in college. Personally, I'm a major perfectionist so all my work has to be top-notch. Over time I've learned to perform less than my best in order to cope with the stresses of life. Still hard to resist those natural urges and learn to regulate the time spent on my work.
