Got out of bed at 4:30 am. Made coffee. Coffee is not so bad an antidepressant. CL stuff currently.

Treated myself to a bubble bath by candle light and christmas tree lights - because the light fixture in our bathroom is broken! Oh well, trying to make the best of the situation, and the soft lighting is more relaxing anyway. Plus I have a glass tabletop that I put across the tub to rest the lap top and watch a chick flick. It's nice to pamper oneself every now and then.

I am proud of myself today. I handled criticism without falling apart. This is a major accomplishment for me.

Well, I took the dogs for a walk - - good for them and good for me since my legs are really sore from jog/walking yesterday. Went to the vet to get proof of one of our dog's rabies vaccination, which is good because then we can license that dog and my husband won't freak out about me jog/walking with the other dog off leash.

Also went grocery shopping so I can actually cook my husband dinner tonight. Once my depression improved, I told myself I was going to cook at least one "good" meal a week.

Also leaving for an AA meeting in about an hour, which is good because it helps me stay clean and sober.

I hope the meds help

Not really today, but I did get my son more motivated with his school work, did a good job as a mother this a.m., and he left feeling more positive about himself this morning

Took the time to pack my son lunch for preschool. For some reason, he gets very excited when he gets a packed lunch instead of eating cafeteria food. It was hectic because I woke up late, but he literally cheered and said "YAY! I get to be a cold-luncher today!" It was well worth it.
Thanks for this!

Am working on starting a fire because I know my husband really likes it. Am going jog/walking in a little bit, washing my filthy car, picking some things up at Shopko, socializing with a friend this afternoon. When in depression (mild), I figure any activity at all is a positive thing. This compared to when my depression was severe and I spent so much time on the couch watching t.v. just not wanting to do anything at all (not even exist).
