Are you able to access good memories while depressed? Do they just go away? Or do they became abstract and unrelatable? Or do they pop through now and again only to be drowned out by negativity?
When do they start to come back? |

Sometimes I can, sometimes I can't. I try to pay special attention in the moment when I can remember something good or appreciate something I experience 'here and now'

They're still there, but very bittersweet. Everything good twists itself when im depressed and becomes something to beat myself up with.

Sometimes they are like watching a movie or TV show. They are nice to "look" at but not real. You can store good memories while depressed but they are really hard to access. There's a bit of truth in fake it until you make it. You might not enjoy something because of your depression, but later on you will be glad you did it and know that it was good. For me I have to learn to live within my limits and hope those limits gradually expand.
