Lately I've noticed that one of my bestfriends is becoming sad when shes around me. I spoke to her about it and she said that she just doesn't like to see me hurting. But its making her frustrasted and angry with me at times. Is it possible that me being negative and sad most of the time could be rubbing off onto others and affecting how they act around me or treat me?

I've noticed that certain people are more empathetic thus responding to the moods whether negative or positive of those around them. Its less to do with you then them, after all you can't be happy all the time.

I agree... It's probably not you, but "them" and their lack of empathy

Everyone is responsible for their own emotions. You aren't responsible for your best friend and depression isn't contagious, so don't worry about it

I try to hide the fact that I'm unhappy as much as possible, but best friends often see through my charade. There's not much you can do about how your friend feels, and the worst thing you can do is alienate or distance yourself from everyone else, because your friends (they care about you) will notice that you're isolating yourself from them and that will make them sad too.
