It's not for everybody, but I write. No holds barred, just write exactly what I'm thinking/feeling, no censorship. I usually feel some relief. However, I know that for some people writing can be like dwelling on it more and can actually make them feel worse.

Going for a jog will, 99% of the time, improve my mood. Endorphins/ serotonin/norepinephrine! Unfortunately, it only lasts a few hours.

ShyPoet, writing for me always helps me, it always gets me to an "AH HAA!" moment or just lets me accept my emotions, which helps flow the day better. PFrog, I agree with everyone of yours! Its gloomy and cloudy here and I love it! I baked cookies (<---- This is always calming until I eat severaly of them ![]() This may sound cheesy, what works for me everytime is working out, Bike riding, going to the gym, I've found a passion with lifting weights. You stay so focused and you can put all your anger into a lift or while climbing a hill on a bike.

Watching old sit-coms (The Golden Girls is an all-time favorite!), spending times with friends even when I have to force myself to do it, reading something inspirational, journaling.
I used to work out fairly regularly and have gotten away from it in the past year or so. I would really like to get back to exercising as it definitely helped my mood more often than not.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. ~Marianne Williamson |

Long walks while listening to music on my phone, my dogs, writing, gardening, seeing friends, playing piano, reading or writing poetry, watching favorite movies, doing breathing exercises, and listening to my white noise app (rain, chirping birds, whatever) on my phone.
