I just typed a long email to a friend, but deleted it ... Does anyone else do that? I don't think there was anything wrong with it. But with depression and other crap it's "safer" not to speak, not to trust, safer to be silent, forever silent

Do it all the time. Hate talking, safer not to.
Hope you're able to communicate the message if needed.

I do it too. Especially, with email and text messages.

Best wishes, Gayle

I tend to fret about writing before I type a word. I end up not putting anything down rather than deleting.

Yes I have done that. Usually I've written it by hand and decide later to destroy it.

I have found that after typing a message, if I wait a few minutes before I send it, I usually reword it so I do not sound "awful".

That's why I journal. I have phone app that is a diary and there's a password on that and a password on my phone haha. I put everything in there that I want to tell someone, but can't without the fear of possible hospitalization or other consequences. So far it helps, but I wish there was a soul that would *just* understand.

((((((Fuzzy)))))) it's so scary, I usually want to delete it after sending it, its too late then. Good friends forgive and understand our mistakes when we make them or imagine we have made them. Take heart 'Beau Bear'.

omg...

I used to be where I'd send something, and sometimes regret it, or the wording, because of being judged, especially if it's brought up by any parents, if I talk to them about it. (Another reason why I don't talk to them about me much)

But recently I've been doing a lot of that, where I edit it, or not send it at all, for fear of being "classified" or judged on it.
And to

That's totally me. Except I journal in my brain, as I'm a bit paranoid that one day I'll be told to open it by my mom, and she'll rant on me and take away it.
I feel for ya, Fuzzy.
