just watched a Twilight Zone called "mute"

it's about a mute telepathic little girl.. she couldn't talk and was raised as a telepath.. her 'parents' (who weren't really her parents)die in a fire, and she's adopted by a new family and put in school.. the teacher tries to teach her to talk, and at the end of the show, this couple come from where she was raised and try to talk to her with their thoughts, but she can no longer hear them, she only hears echos..anyway she starts to cry and scream out her name over and over "my name is Ilsa, my name is Ilsa".

I felt bad because it reminded me of myself and things i go through with my mental illness. i have delusions of telepathy. anyway I was watching the show with my mom. and she said she felt bad watching this part. at first i thought since my mom knows all about what i go though and i am her youngest daughter, i thought she would be thinking about me how I suffer. but no, instead when i ask why she feels bad, she says, "it reminds me of our kitten and how she must feel living here" ...

The KITTEN, i mean what does that even have to do with ANYTHING? LOL she says our kitten must feel like no one knows what she wants. (i guess because she can't talk)

maybe she just didn't want to tell me the real reason. but of course the whole thing makes me think i am living in the Twilight Zone, I hate that show, creeps me out and gives me more delusions.

I know how you feel. I hate it when someone does that, but it happens to me a bit differently. Sometimes I want to share something that excited me with my family, and I start talking, they either say "Oh yeah?", or change the subject just because mine doesn't interest them, or simply just give me this face ----->
I now don't share anything with them at all, almost at all. I only nerd out about something scientific that I read, but only to my mother. But I think you're right, maybe your mom gave you a nod or something, that "Hey, I understand". Could it be? Has she done that before?
