Hi there.

I forgot to mention in my introduction that I have been battling depression since I was a teenager. Never took drugs until I got into my 30s and by then I could add PMDD to my list of issues.

I was last on Prozac and stopped taking them after about a year, because the doctor I had was annoying and I moved to a different city. Prozac and I got along fine. Funny thing is, I have done pretty well up until now. No more PMDD symptoms. It is like the Prozac helped me get adjusted, or my body just changed.

So 4 years later, the symptoms I am experiencing now are different. Whereas before, with the PMDD I felt like I was moving and reacting from behind a veil (an evil veil), this time I feel EVERYTHING too much- ANGER, ANXIETY, TRAPPED, HOPELESSNESS, SADNESS . . .

The closest psychiatrist to where I live will not be available until mid-August for an appointment. My General doctor just wrote me a prescription for Welbutrin and Klonopin.

How did these drugs effect you?

I'm sorry your are having trouble again.

I had very good luck when I took Welbutrin. I was on it for a long time before it quite working. I take klonopin now and find that it really helps my anxiety. I've read a lot of stories about how it's hard to get off of but I was able to wean myself off for six months with no withdrawal symptoms. I only went back on it recently as I've had a recurrence in my depression and anxiety.
