My husband went up north with his grandpa to fish and also cut down some trees for firewood. He's going to be gone for 2 days, so I have the house to myself. I spent most of today cleaning the house. I hate cleaning, but it needs to be done. With my depression, I easily get frustrated with how much there is to do and how much I hate doing it - and then nothing gets done.

So for today, instead of a 'to do' list, I made myself a 'done' list. I write down what I have accomplished and what I can feel good about. That way, I can focus on feeling good for what I've gotten done, rather than dwell on how much there still is to do.

hi Sirensong
have such a positive things done list is a really great idea!. Perhaps reminding yourself of how good you will feel with the house cleaned will provide motivation. Even doing the cleaning over a couple of days with breaks in between chores and giving yourself a reward for doing it would help. Take care. I hope and pray your depression improves. God bless and best wishes from your friend Francis
