I have had a hard time with stuff latley and it is just worse. I am such an idiot for today. I have a friend well I guess, we dated and then we took time off because I was healing myself and he had his stuff too. We spend alot of time together and usually help each other through the hard stuff. Today he asked for help, just emotional support and I was pretty mean. I had a ton of bad stuff on my mind and work and just said some things I shouldn't have. I am trying to find the courage to say sorry. I am so awful for hurting people that care about me. I really don't deserve friends! Maybe I just need to leave him alone because his life would be better.

One Opinion: Unavoidable poor timing. Occupied with your own stresses, today you could not provide your friend with the support requested. Sometimes that's just the way things work out even in close relationships. Not even the healthiest, most stable individual can be 100% available 100% of the time.

May time heal.

I don't even know what to do because I am so ashamed I cannot see them to say I am sorry.

Hi, I'm so sorry you feel in such a fix. Is there any kind of gesture he would appreciate that would break the ice, or even a small token (if he was female I'd think flowers) with a one word note attached- the 's' word?
Good luck and I really hope you find a way forward at this painful time, you both deserve it.

I sent a message saying I was sorry and explaining why but I just got the cold shoulder. I never lash out because of my past i know the pain that is causes. I am so ashamed I guess I just need to leave the friendship behind.

Sorry! You did all you could.
Everyone makes mistakes that they regret, you were big enough to apologise, that's a reason not to be ashamed.
Thanks for this!
