A few months ago I went to see a psychiatrist and was prescribed Zoloft, with no change in my depression after a month. I was changed to lexapro, once again with the lexapro not working they prescribed Cybalta 30mg I think I felt a little better after ring on it over the course of a month. So the next month they upped it to 60 mg I am now almost 3 weeks in and feel very down. It's as if it Plateaued. My question is, is that possible? Has anyone else had this experience?

Cymbalta is an antidepressant. I would talk to your psych doc and tell them. There could be medicine changes needed or maybe other factors in your life are changing things.
Some people feel worse on antidepressants http://psychcentral.com/news/2011/12...lta/32430.html Best to talk to your pdoc.

It takes time to evaluate antidepressants and which one(s) is/are helpful. My psychiatrist will often wait 3or 4 months before writing off an option. It's best to discuss it with yours.
I tend to have a mixed and more partial response to most antidepressants, but that's just me. We're all different. Don't give up, something will always change. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
