I just did my second maintenance ECT. I have treatment resistant depression. My therapist thinks it would be good for me to talk to other people who suffer from depression so that I cannot feel so abnormal. So if you want to talk you are welcome to PM me. I am a 37 year old female with two kids. Thank you.

Hi crook,

I'm a 45-yr old mother of 2 daughters. I suffer with treatment-resistant depression as well...so I've been "in-patient" a few times. I've met a few other people who went in for ECT and had a variety of outcomes. Most have complained of major headaches the day after treatment. One didn't. But, she was in the minority. Hopefully, you are too.

You're welcome to message me, if you like. Take care!

It sounds like you have a therapist who cares.

In some areas, these are "rare"

This is just another time that I look foolish. I'm too paranoid with most people and when you said wife I assumed you were male and that's when my mind was littered with questions. ****

There are a lot of us depressed people out here. I'm a 47 year old mother of 2 - a 24 year old young woman and a 16 year old son. I'm around if you want to talk. I think sometimes that knowing that you aren't alone in this does help.

I know you've got a lot of offers already, but hit me up if you ever want to talk. I wonder if what I feel is just me or if there's other people that understand, too. My family tends to either not talk about it or, like my mom, just calls me crazy without trying to understand. Feels like I'm yelling at a brick wall.

I'm 42 year old female. Hope you get what you need here.
