my first panic attack a long time ago practically destroyed my life..
I think it set the stage for my big breakdown...
I often wonder what causes these panic attacks...

I need to change the title but cant...
it needs to be----------- the PANIC attack and DEPRESSION

For me it is really weird. I never had anxiety in my whole life. Tons of depression since 13 years old.

Then about 12 years ago I started getting anxiety. 2012 and 13 it got way over the top horrible. It mostly happened when I was in a severe depression and it would cause me to get very paranoid. Why did this all of sudden get added????

My buddy gets panic attacks and is convinced he is having a heart attack. Even get symptoms of a heart attack. His doctor has tested his heart a number of times and he is as healthy as a horse. No rhythm or reason to it. It happens for no apparent reason because nothing in his life has changed.

I never experienced a true panic attack until I was 13 years old, but I already experienced a major depressive episode, anxiety, and the symptoms of a personality disorder before my first panic attack.

Now I wish that I could target why and how these things were triggered. Yesterday I realized that depression can trigger anxiety & anxiety can trigger depression. Strange how that works.
Thanks for this!

my very first panic attack was unreal...I never experienced anything like that....and then after having fear about having another one....I am 84 yo and still scared about feeling like that again...that sounds dramatic but I guess that's just me talking...it was a big thing in my life and still is....I think I have ptsd from that...

Turtle, I think it could. If you start feeling weird for any reason it can set off a panic attack. Even worrying about having a panic attack can cause one. I have learned to tell the difference tho.
