So I was on a suicide prevention chat last night and the next thing I know the cops are knocking on my door. So they took me to the ER and now I am be admitted as an inpatient. So much for an anonymous chat.
It sucks because I had just gotten my pdoc to agree last night to let me get treatment as an outpatient. Still in the ER don't know what hospital I will be transferred to yet. Wish me luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It sucks but you are getting help, that's the important part. The help may be quicker too that it might have been as an outpatient. Best of luck in getting the best treatment.

Same here only I was released to someone else's care.... Not sure where I need to be right now... Good luck!! Sometimes they can trace the call if they need too.... That's what happened to me anyway.

I had that happen to me one time. I was talking on the phone with my sister one night. She just kept on nagging me about what to do with my life. I got disgusted, so I told her that I would want to end my life. I didn't think that she would take me seriously. I've spoken like that before with her. So she did call the cops saying that I was talking about killing myself, apparently. After I spoke with her, a half an our later, a couple of cops came to my door. They were nice to me and just went away after a couple of minutes. I was furious for what my sister did. I know that she cares for me; but I felt like she had antagonized me, and that was why I said that I would want to die.

Hotlines are required to take proper action if certain red flags come up. I work at one and we have 5 red flags and 3 of the 5 have to be hit. It's for your own safety and for the operators safety. We truly care.
