... An appointment with a T. Finally. For next week. It is with a woman---I was hoping for a man, I'm not sure I can discuss what I need to talk about with a woman, but at this point I'm just desperate to get some help. Wish me luck and luck getting through the week. I couldn't make it though work today, I had to leave after a few hours.

And my healthcare case worker just called me back and found me another name, a male, I called and they can see me TONIGHT. I am on hold with my insurance company to make sure he is on my plan. Wish me luck.

Not a horrific wait time with the insurance and good news, they confirmed he is covered on my plan. I see him tonight at 6pm.

I do hope your initial appt goes smoothly and you feel a rapport can be built up over time. It is very important to have multiple successfull coping aids in this battle.

It went well. I felt very comfortable talking to him. This visit was mostly about getting my history so I have yet to see if/how he can help me but we are off to a good start, and I have another appointment with him on Wednesday.
