I'm trying to find a therapist for my mother who will do phone sessions. She's not well right now and is in no shape to drive, and I thought getting someone to speak to her on the phone would be a first step. At this point, she's not able to hold much of a conversation, but I thought I could explain this to a counselor beforehand. Have any of you done phone sessions, and if so, were they helpful at all?

Sorry I can't help you find anyone, but if that kind of therapist exists, that sounds like a really good idea for a lot of people. Not just those who physically can't walk into a therapist's office, but those who emotionally can't, as well.

Thank you all. I'm heading home to hospitalize my mother. She needs inpatient care right now, and I've got to do that before she gets worse.
