I've been feeling numb since yesterday. I'm doing things but it just feels blah. I have 5 more days of work to do before I'm on vacation. I should be feeling excited about my Europe trip right now. I'm leaving in a week but I'm not feeling anything. And again no motivation for my job. Just hanging in there hoping something good will come out of all this!

Good for you for traveling. I wouldn't even try right now.

I'm going on vacation to our lake house for a couple weeks and could care less! I should be happy, but depression wins. I hope you enjoy your trip to Europe!

Are you stressing about something else in your life - or have you been recently?

Let's just say it's been a difficult year caring for my teenage daughter who has severe depression, anxiety and traits of borderline personality disorder. I'm exhausted and relapsed in depression. Things are getting better with her but as everyone knows once you're back in depression, it's very hard to recover again. It's a vicious cycle!

The numbness is coming from the exhaustion of constantly dealing with so much and the knowledge that soon you will have a bit of relief - it's the mind's way of preparing for the major change.

If that's the case, bring it on! lol I'm okay with that. I'd rather feel numb then crying all day.

Yea It's a good thing

After a time, you will find yourself enjoying things as long as you don't allow yourself to worry on the numbness now
