Lost my grandma a bit ago and now I'm having chest pains. I've had chest pain since Thursday the 26th. I went to the ER on Friday the 27th. The gave me meds that they would give a heart attack patient. They gave me 3 doses. It worked for a bit but then the pain came back. The doctor came in and said I was fine and must of pulled a muscle. Not sure how I did it. I'm still in a lot of pain and depressed because of it.

I had a similar issue. I had strong chest pains and thought it was a heart attack, but waited a day to be seen. They didn't give me any heart drugs that I remember but they ran tests, took images, etc.

Turns out it was a severe anxiety attack. Been getting them ever since, but not every day, except this last week. *sigh* The ER doctor said as long as the pains don't bring a feeling of weakness it isn't likely a real heart attack.

I am not a doctor and that is not medical advice and I can't say you are having anxiety issues. What has been working for me lately, besides all the the meds, are lavender candles.

I am very sorry about your grandma, I lost mine a few years ago. It is a tough thing to handle.

I've had anxiety attacks. They could be. It could be a pulled muscle. I don't know. *SIGHS* I see my doctor June 7th. Have to wait till then to get stronger anxiety meds.

It is tough loosing my grandma.

(((ArmyWife)))

I lost my grandma on my father's side a couple of years ago, and it really upset me. I had been becoming very close to her and learning about family history and when she was gone it hit me that I wouldn't hear any of her stories anymore. It was even more sad because she kinda let herself go by getting a UTI and not telling anyone about it. That's what killed her.

Anyways, I think emotional reactions to these losses, like panic attacks and depressions are perfectly normal. They don't feel normal and they hurt and the emotions are intense, but it's part of the grieving process.

I hope your chest pains get better and that your grief doesn't last too long.

(((hugs)))
