Why when you are diagnosed with all these different types of depressions that people think your crazy or you should be on medication? Like if I am and have always been a good person why treat me differently than before?

Hi Munkkie
It sounds like you have some people around you who aren't very understanding in what you're going through, I'm sorry No-one should be calling you crazy for suffering from depression (in fact I wouldn't like anyone to be calling anyone crazy for any reason!!). As for meds.........well some people do need meds for depression and I see no shame in that, none whatsoever!!! But it seems like you feel that those people suggesting that aren't really offering you much more support?? And I'd like to think that people could offer you more as well So..........I'm glad you've found your way to PC, there are some really understanding and supportive people on here..........and if you'd like to talk a bit more about what's going on for you right now.........we're here........... Because most people are not familiar with the state of depression. It's sort of "foreign" to them. So they sometimes call such people "crazy."
