I am really tired of my "head" thinking telling me that being "rational, reasonable and responsible" means indulging in the most depressing, pessimistic, risk-averse, self-downing crap thinking one can get. My "heart" (caring, ambition, optimism, etc.) seems to be more or less in the right place, it just needs some backup from a "head" that's more like Mr. Spock helping Dr.McCoy solve a problem with help from Tony Robbins, instead of C-3PO, Marvin the Paranoid Android and Ebenezer Scrooge having a dismal evening chat about the awful finality of it all.
