She's dead. Just like that, dead. I keep expecting her to come into the hospital room to check on her boyfriend. To check on my best friend. But she's not coming. She's never coming back. And now my best friend, my brother, is so heart broken that he can barely function. I lost my friend but he lost the love of his life. And this is the only time in my entire life that I have no idea how to make it all better. I don't know how to help him. I can't. I'm just here. I can't save him from this. I can't protect him.

Just being there will be a help. He will need his family around him as he goes through the days ahead. You will be helping him by just being there.

Just a question: was it sudden? Even when you know a loss is coming, you're never quite ready when it actually occurs.

All the best to your brother, and you. All you can do is help him heal the best you can, and take care of yourself too.

It was a roll over car accident caused by their tire blowing out. Her side was really caved in and she was hanging out the window partially. When the fire dept. got there he thought he heard them say that she had a low pulse.
I got the call from the hospital and was also the one who they wanted to tell him that she didn't make it. He was begging "Where's Shannon?". I would've given anything to tell him something different. I couldn't talk, just shook my head.
On top of that, I think I'm finally realizing that my friend is dead, too. I lost my friend and he lost the love of his life. He was going to marry her.
I don't know what to do right now.

I'm sorry for y'all's loss ...

She's Dead...

The only advice I can offer is to simply be there for one another ... Even if you don't know what to say or do ...

Sincerely,
Pfrog!
